Download the document (MS Word, 25 Kb) Efim Geller Memorial Open, Odessa 2006 Basic Information The Efim Geller Memorial will take place in Odessa, Ukraine from 18th September (day of arrival) until 27 September 2006. There will be two 9 rounds Swiss open tournaments: Tournament-A and Tournament-B. Tournament-A Time control: 1 hour and 30 minutes per game (+ 30 seconds increment after every move) for each player.The six top rated by ELO participants will be provided with a full board accommodation by organisers. ENTRY FEE: Free for IGMs, IMs, male players with ELO above 2400 and female players with ELO above 2200. Other participants pay the entry fee in the national currency of Ukraine, which is equivalent to: ELO above 2300 - 10 USD, ELO above 2200 - 20 USD, ELO less 2201 - 30 USD, without ELO - 50 USD. Seniors (older than 60), female players and juniors (under 20) - with exception of those who does not have an ELO rating, and also students of the Odessa SDYUSHOR chess school pay 50% of the entry fee amount.
PRIZES (will be paid in the national currency of Ukraine): Tournament-B Time control: 2 hours per game for each player.ENTRY FEE: Participants pay the entry fee (which is equivalent to 5 USD) in the national currency of Ukraine. PRIZES (will be paid in the national currency of Ukraine): 1st - 100 USD, 2nd - 80 USD, 3rd - 70 USD, 4th - 60 USD, 5th - 50 USD, 6th - 40 USD, 7th - 30 USD, 8th - 20 USD. Prizes for the best results among: seniors (older than 60 years) - 25 USD, female players - 25 USD, juniors (under-20) - 25 USD. The total prize fund of the Tournament-B is 525 USD. Notes: 1. One participant can get only one prize. 2.
